They are interesting and offer absolutely all that you want in terms of amenities. We selected 3 that are great and that you do want to consider. Obviously, tens of others exist so do make sure you choose what best suits you, based on where you will want to travel to. For all people there are differences in what they want to obtain from a campground so research is necessary.
Corinth Recreation Area
This campground is located in the highly scenic Bankhead National Forest. It is a really popular recreation area on the Lewis Smith lake. The group picnic site is open all around the day and you can also gain access to a campground and various entertainment options on and around the lake.
The Corinth Recreation Area has flush toilets, beach access, accessible sites, boat trailer parking, boat ramps, education programs, entrance station, fishing opportunities, non motorized boating, pay phones, parking area, showers, water skiing, tent pads and picnic shelters. Campground amenities include electrical hookups, water hookups, sewer hookups and pets are allowed.
Guntersville Lake
The Guntersville Lake is longer than 75 miles and offers an area of camping of 67,000 acres. This is basically one of the largest in Alabama. The nearby towns include Scottsboro, Guntersville, Tennessee and South Pittsburg. Fishing is really great here as there are so many largemouth bass fish that you will be able to catch.
Wind Creek State Park Alabama
The Wind Creek State Park covers 1,445 acres, close to Lake Martin, which is a clear water reservoir covering 41,000 acres. It is perfect for swimming, boating and fishing. We are faced with the largest US state operated campground, together with 625 other sites. You will be able to go boating, swimming and fishing. That includes camp store, hiking trails, fishing pier, marina, playground, grills, shelters and a picnic area with tables. Bath houses can be found all around the campground and if you need them, there are laundry facilities that are available. The only problem is that just 7 camping cabins are currently available for visitors.
