Time To Go On A Roller Coaster In Europe
After talking about the fastest roller coasters in North America, we had to also talk about the best ones in Europe. Many are surprised to notice how many great opportunities are available since not much publicity is done for them. It is a surprise to notice this since they are tremendous destinations for thrill seekers. We will not mention the roller coasters in a particular order. However, we can say that absolutely all of them are of a very high quality and you will want to experience them.
The Swarm And The Swarm Backwards – UK
This roller coaster opened in 2012 and is the first winged coaster in UK. Seats will dangle over sides and you will particularly love the last 2 rows as they were turned around. We thus have a backwards rollercoaster, which is a pretty unique experience in itself. You will definitely want to experience the ride forward first since it is quite ecstatic and then try it backwards. The inverted drop is the highlight and many that rode the Swarm Backwards believe that the experience is a lot better since you are going to be surprised by what happens, not knowing if you go down or up.
Shambhala – Spain
Located in PortAventura, this is the fastest of all the European roller coasters. The maximum speed is 83 miles per hour. You also have access to the biggest of the drops, with one that is of 78 meters. We are looking at this interesting almost vertical plunge that is even more interesting because the bottom welcomes you with a tunnel. The roller coaster also opened in 2012 and offers a lot of airtime. The entire ride will take around 3 minutes and the views that you see are tremendous but some will not even have the heart to look.
Air – UK
Located at the Alton Towers, Air is a roller coaster that is upside down and when you enjoy it during a really sunny day, you will love the feeling. Many feel as if they are flying and if the sky is blue, you will definitely free great. What is interesting is that Air is not really a fast roller coaster but the experience is so unique that it is impossible not to feel great when you ride it.
Stealth – UK
Located in Thorpe Park, Stealth takes you to 80 miles per hour in just 1.8 seconds. This is faster than with a really fast sports car and you are shot up over 60 meters. The plunge down twists at 90 degrees and you cannot actually put hands up since G-force takes them back down. Unfortunately, there is a problem with it in the fact that the ride only lasts 18 seconds. Speed is huge but this is not something that will be too thrilling when compared with Air.
