Loch Leven Heritage Trail
This is a wonderful hike in Scotland for those that love bird watching. The region is considered to be a National Nature Reserve as it is really important for nesting ducks and wildfowl. There are around 20,000 pink footed geese that are present in the area during the winter and during the summer you can enjoy the duckling broods that shelter right around the shoreline. Ben Nevis

That is why hill walkers simply want to experience it when in the country. You will need to sweat until the top but the achievement felt is quite incredible. Yellowcraigs Beach
This is close to Edinburgh and the hike is great for those that travel with families. There are basically miles of clean golden sand available, making everything perfect for a picnic and a summer walk. The views you get from the area are stunning and the fact that the beach is close to Edinburgh makes it perfect for a day trip. Children will particularly love the seals and rock pools. Fidra Island is particularly beautiful.
Arthur’s Seat
This hike gives you access to a great 3D view of Edinburgh. You get to climb volcanic hill and then simply glimpse over spires and chimneys. This is a walk that will include a stroll right along the Salisbury Crags, giving a view of Scottish Parliament and the Holyrood Palace, which is where the Royal Family has the official residence.
